Weekly Dinghy Sailing
This might become available to us if we show in the district that there is
enough interest. Erica Bishop who runs the water activities in Wimbledon Park
for the Council has just been appointed Scout Association National Specialist
Advisor for Dinghy Sailing
She proposes to run courses during the summer from 5.30pm - 7.30pm weekdays for scouts to get their stage 1 Dinghy Certificated. Cost will be 10 sessions £40 and 5 sessions £20. They should take 5 weeks to complete.
For this to happen Erica would like an indication weather this activity would be required. So please get in touch with me to say weather the scouts are interested in doing this course.
17th February Half Term
No Scouts
1st-2nd March Night Hike
We will be leaving the scout hall at approximately 8pm and going for a night
hike around Ranmore Common, near Box Hill. The scouts will need to bring a flask
of hot drink, some food, (we will be stopping to boil water for pot noodles if
scouts bring them) plus should bring spare socks and jumper and 2 plastic
carrier bags (these are for the journey home as we will tie them over their
boots to keep the mud off the vehicles).
Scouts will be brought back directly to their own homes and parents should
expect them back sometime between 2am - 4am. Depending on how fast they walk the
hike.
Please let me know who can attend this so I can arrange transport.
There is no cost for this activity.

sponsorship form.
As said before this is being allocated on a first come basis and we need to have
a deposit of £15 ASAP to confirm your place. the remaining £10 will be payable
on the 1st June. All forms and info will be given to you from the
parasending club. Please see myself as I am a club instructor and will be in
